Invitation for Wednesday, Nov. 6: Join UITS in the Academic Learning Center!
Hey, Owls! We want to hear from you—your feedback on KSU’s IT services helps us improve your experience. Plus, we have some awesome swag to give away!
Join us on Wednesday, Nov. 6, between 10 a.m. and noon in the Academic Learning Center (Kennesaw).
What will you do?
- Spill: Share your perspective on KSU technology
- Spin: Spin the "prize wheel" for a reward
Can't make it this week? No problem! We'll have one more "spill and spin" event this Fall:
- Thursday, Nov. 14, between 10 a.m. and 12 p.m. in the lobby of the Atrium Building (Marietta)
Mark your calendars, and let’s make IT at KSU even better—together!
AI at KSU: Microsoft Copilot
Check out Microsoft Copilot, an artificial intelligence (AI) powered chatbot that produces text and images—and it's the only AI tool that ensures data protection for all Owls.
While Copilot is available for everyone, to protect your data you MUST log in at copilot.cloud.microsoft.com using your KSU email and password. Look for the Enterprise Data Protection icon in the top-right corner—this indicates your data is encrypted and not used as a training set for the AI.
IMPORTANT: Always check with your professor(s) before using AI for academic work.

Guidelines for AI Use at KSU
Engage with generative AI thoughtfully: Communicate clearly using conversational language, and never share confidential information or protected research. To safeguard data when using AI, use Microsoft Copilot when logged in with your KSUmail address and password.
IMPORTANT: Always check your syllabus before using AI for academic work. While UITS is excited to provide guidance on leveraging AI, particularly generative AI, the decision of when, how, or whether to use it in your coursework is ultimately up to your instructor. We encourage you to reach out to them with any questions or concerns.

Remember: UITS is here for you! Please contact the KSU IT Service Desk if you have questions or concerns.
