AI at KSU: Getting Started with Microsoft Copilot

In this beginner Excel workshop, participants will learn the basics of formatting, tables, and get comfortable using essential Excel tools.

In this supplemental beginner Excel workshop, users will learn how to use basic formulas using functions like SUM, AVERAGE, MAX, MIN, LEFT, RIGHT, and COUNT.

Excel: Tables, Charts, and Pivot Tables
Unlock the full potential of Excel for dynamic data presentation and analysis. Learn to format tables, create column, pie, and line charts, and utilize pivot tables and charts. Join this workshop to master the art of analyzing large datasets effectively.

Finding Data in Tables in Excel
Master the art of data retrieval in Excel with VLOOKUP, XLOOKUP, and INDEX/MATCH functions. This workshop is designed for those who have a basic understanding of Excel and are ready to delve deeper into its powerful data-finding capabilities.

Power Query in Excel
Power Query is a data transformation and data preparation engine. Learn how to import or connect to external data, and then shape that data (i.e., remove a column, change a data type, or merge tables) in ways that meet your needs. Then, you can load your query into Excel to create charts and reports. Join this workshop and optimize your data workflow!

Upgrade to Windows 11 Today!
Windows 11 offers a range of exciting new features and enhanced security, which is more crucial than ever. The best part? Familiar applications like Outlook and Office remain unchanged, so you can enjoy the benefits of the upgrade without disruption.
Faculty and staff: If you have not yet upgraded to Windows 11, please do so at your earliest convenience. This update will require a restart within 24 hours and will take about 20 minutes to complete.
All KSU computers must be upgraded to Windows 11 in Fall 2024. Beginning October 21, UITS will enable an automatic update for all computers still using Windows 10.
How to upgrade to Windows 11:
- Open Software Center:
- Click the Start menu.
- With the Start menu open, begin typing Software Center.
- Locate and open the Software Center application.
- Initiate installation:
- In the Software Center window, select Updates on the left side.
- Select the available Windows 11 version.
- Click Install to start the upgrade process. This part of the process may take up to 2 hours. You will be able to continue to use your computer during this time.
- Restart to complete your installation.
- Once the download and installation are complete, you will be prompted to restart your computer.
- Save any open work and proceed with the Restart. The Restart process may take up to 20 minutes. You will not be able to use your computer during this time.
