Kennesaw State University provides all the tools instructors need to create engaging, collaborative, and compelling learning environments for in-person, virtual, and hybrid courses.

Recording and Sharing Content

• How can I record my class material?

  There are several programs you can use to record yourself (both audio and video). We recommend using Kaltura MediaSpace because it is already integrated within D2L.

• How can I share my audio and video files with students?

  If you used Kaltura MediaSpace to record your lecture, you can easily insert the video into the Content area of your D2L course.

  You can upload many file types into your D2L course

• Do my students have access to the Adobe Creative Cloud?

  Yes! Kennesaw State University is delighted to be able to offer students, faculty, and staff remote access to the Adobe Creative Cloud.

  Please note that access will only be available to students until May 31, 2020 or until campus labs reopen. After this date, students will need to use the computer labs on campus. Adobe reserves the right to terminate this access at any time and without notice. 

Meeting Virtually

• How can I meet with all my students virtually?

  We recommend using BlackBoard Collaborate Ultra to meet with your students virtually because it is already integrated within D2L.

• How can I meet with a specific student or group of students?

  We recommend using Microsoft Teams for meeting with specific students.

Administering Quizzes/Exams

  D2L has recently launched a Quiz Builder tool to make creating, administering, and grading quizzes even easier.

  Respondus LockDown Browser is a tool integrated within D2L that can restrict students' access to outside resources and monitor them during an online quiz.
